UAVAIR specialises in preparing students for the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the professional setting.

Professional training with UAVAIR is the only course approved by both the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and the Australian Quality Training Framework as a result we provide graduates with an AVI30316 Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot – Visual Line of Sight), as well as your Aeronautical Radio Certificate and Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).

Our training course includes a micro drone for you to practise flying before coming to our training facility, 2 weeks online course learning and 7 days of face to face training that will see you trained in all aspects of the industry. Our training course will guide you through various stages of development as you gradually build skills and confidence.

ADMINISTRATION FEE:

A non-refundable Administration Fee of $200 is to be paid upon enrolment to secure your position on the course.

 

A $500 deposit, is required to be paid upon commencement, (2 weeks prior to classroom training) with the remaining balance $3,295 due 7 days before attending face to face training.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification is relevant to individuals operating remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) within visual line of sight (VLOS), below 400 feet above ground level (AGL), in day visual meteorological conditions (VMC), outside of controlled airspace, greater than 3 nautical miles from an aerodrome, outside of populous areas.

Remote pilot duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge within RPAS operational environments. This qualification forms some of the requirements for certification by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) as described in Civil Aviation Safety Regulation (CASR) Part 101 Division 101.F.3—Certification of UAV controllers.

Civil and military personnel seeking certification as remote pilots should check requirements with CASA. Use for Defence Aviation is to be in accordance with relevant Defence Orders, Instructions, Publications and Regulations.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Reading and writing – a learner will be able to read, comprehend and write a range of texts within a variety of contexts.

Oral communication – a learner will be able to use and respond to spoken language including some unfamiliar material within a variety of contexts.

Numeracy and mathematics – a learner will be able to recognise and use a variety of conventions and symbolism of formal mathematics.

Operational flight crew are to satisfy General and Aviation English Language Proficiency (GELP) requirements as directed by aviation regulatory authorities.

Candidates should check with the CASA or Defence aviation for specific requirements. (Evidence may include: English language proficiency such as IELTS Level 6 or have worked in Australia for at least 3 years and have a statutory declaration from the employer)

  • Proof of ID – 100 points- Birth certificate/Passport, Driver’s License, Medicare card
