Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC)

Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate

An Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC) is required for those who need to transmit on an operational radio frequency and communicate ground-to-air whilst undertaking RPAS operations within the aviation environment. Having an AROC is especially recommended for those RPAS pilots who will be conducting operations in controlled airspace or near non-towered aerodromes. Having an Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate allows you to use air band radio. More information on this CASA license can be found here.

As UAVAIR are a Registered Training Organisation we are approved by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to deliver Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificates (AROC). The AROC is delivered as a part of our professional training course, AVI30316 Certificate III in Aviation, Remote Pilot – Visual Line of Sight.
