An Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC) is required for those who need to transmit on an operational radio frequency and communicate ground-to-air whilst undertaking RPAS operations within the aviation environment. Having an AROC is especially recommended for those RPAS pilots who will be conducting operations in controlled airspace or near non-towered aerodromes. Having an Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate allows you to use air band radio. More information on this CASA license can be found here.
As UAVAIR are a Registered Training Organisation we are approved by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to deliver Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificates (AROC). The AROC is delivered as a part of our professional training course, AVI30316 Certificate III in Aviation, Remote Pilot – Visual Line of Sight as well as our Remote Pilot License Training course.
