The AVI30316 Certificate III in Aviation, Remote Pilot – Visual Line of Sight course contains not only your drone (UAV) qualification, but also two CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) licensed outcomes, the Remote Pilot License (RePL), as well as the Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC). Our drone training course provides you with both the qualification and licensing to get started in the drone industry, or enhance your piloting skills. This RPAS training course consists of online learning prior to the attendance of face-to-face training. We also send students a microdrone before the commencement of on campus learning to practise their skills and log some flight hours. This drone training course gives you everything you need to work for someone else (under someone else’s Remote Operator Certificate), or if you wish to start a drone business, our UAV training course gets you ready to apply for your Remote Operator’s Certificate with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

We also offer a two day introductory drone training course, Flight Foundations, tailored to those who are new to the world of drones, or who wish to get insurance for their sub 2kg operations without completing their full Remote Pilot License training. This drone training course covers the basics related to RPAS (UAV’s) including, drone overviews, simulator training, dangers to consider when flying, aviation laws, drone care and maintenance, instructed flight training from our experienced pilots.

Are you a little more experienced and looking to become qualified to pilot drones over 7kg? We offer a one day drone training course for Sub 25kg Type Training. This drone type training course is conducted on DJI’s Matrice 600 RPA. Students who complete this rpas training course can upgrade their existing CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) license to enable them to fly drones up to 25kg in take off weight.

Another course we offer is Foundations of Aerial Surveying. In this two day course you will learn how to fly Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS or drones) to collect accurate positional data to conduct aerial surveying projects.
