Drone safety risks spark calls for tougher training – The Australian

UAVAIR’s General Manager Ashley Cox was interviewed in The Australian for comment on the impact quality training has on drone safety.

“The reality is that drone operators want to protect their industry from cowboys coming into the market,” Mr Cox said. He said operators “want the training standards to be lifted, they want the compliance requirements to be audited and maintained, because they are really concerned that the guy down the road having an accident could ­affect their ability to be on a worksite.”
