Our School-based professional training from UAVAIR provides much more than just the minimum qualifications to fly drones.
Developed by leaders in the industry, UAVAIR’s professional course has been designed to give students the skills needed to operate multi-rotor UAV’s to the highest standards. UAVAIR specialises in preparing students for the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the professional setting.
Professional training with UAVAIR is the only course approved by both the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and the Australian Quality Training Framework, as a result, we supply graduates with an AVI30419 Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) as well as Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC) and Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).
QUALIFICATION OUTCOMES
AVI30419 Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot)
Students may also be eligible for the following CASA licensed outcomes:
- Remote Pilots Licence (RePL) – Sub 7kg multi-rotor
- Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate
This qualification is suitable for individuals seeking employment operating remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS).
Individuals will learn to operate within the regulatory framework of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and national operating standards.
This qualification aligns to Remote Pilot Licensing requirements described in Civil Aviation Safety Regulation (CASR) Part 101 — Unmanned aircraft and rockets and Part 101 Manual of Standards.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
Delivery:
- 240 hours of unmanned aerial vehicle training
- Training can be delivered face to face, on-line or a combination of both
- Extensive piloting hours with a UAV instructor
- Access to field for flying drones
- Students get a free mircodrone to keep

Drone Pilot Taster Course
The RPAS (Drone) Operations Program provides students with a practical understanding of how to operate Remotely Piloted Aerial Vehicles (RPAS) in a variety of circumstances safely.
This program is ideal for those looking to gain more experience utilising RPAS/drones or would like to utilise RPAS as part of future education or career pathways.
Participants will be provided with their own operational mircodrone to keep, as part of the course costs.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.

- Delivery of this course is a direct negotiation with schools (subject to minimum numbers)
- Training can be delivered face to face, on-line or a combination of both
- Extensive piloting hours with a UAV instructor
- Access to field for flying drones

On completion of this short course, students may then choose to undertake the full Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot).

Workshop Information
- Session duration between 1 and 4 hours
- Audience is Years 10 and 11 students
- Maximum 25 students per session
- Practical flying on the school oval
- All we need is a classroom and an oval
Drone industry days are complimentary for schools conducting the Certificate 3 in Aviation (Remote Pilot) and are a great tool to advertise the course to prospective students.
The cost of the service on a standalone basis is on a case-by-case basis.
Drones are fast becoming an integral tool in a wide variety of industries from surveying and agriculture, to drone delivery and emergency services. A solid understanding of the drone industry will assist the next generation to gain employment and contribute in the jobs of the future.

- Flipped learning meaning our students complete interactive E-learning on our LMS then go to class to build on their knowledge with our trainers.

- It can be worth 67 ATAR in some universities (possible direct entry)

- This is based on each schools requirements & depends on weather. This might be weekly for an hour or 2 full fly days a term
How much study is required?
- This depends on your lesson structure, you may be given enough time to complete all homework during class time or at home it may only take an hour to do each week
