Why did you do the course? To assist in university, Interest in Aviation and Aircraft, to have other opportunities for employment during university & to add another skill on my resume

How did you find the course? The course was a great balance of content difficulty level. It was a very hands on and logical process and a great way to apply knowledge taught in the course. Kayley (my instructor) was always very helpful in assisting to explain the content in a different way if I struggled with it and this helped me succeed in the course and its assessment.

What did you get out of the course? My Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) plus I had the opportunity to do my RePL & AROC which I completed successfully. This course has also given me a good social network of people in the aviation industry who I can use to continue to develop my skills.

How will or has it helped you in gaining employment or further education? This will help me in my further education as I wish to go onto studying aerospace engineering at university and by completing the course, I have gained knowledge I would otherwise not have in the aerospace industry. Also this course has also helped me gain casual employment, this year as an RPAS junior instructor.

Would you recommend this course to others? I would recommend this course to anyone as it is a great way to develop cognitive thinking skills through an ever growing industry which can open up many opportunities in the future.

Why did you do the course? To pursue my interest in the aviation industry and potentially take it further into the electrical industry as I’ve been told they’re starting to use drones. How did you find the course? I found this course challenging but very manageable through the help of the excellent feedback and instructors. The course layout was very clear and well organised which made it easier on my part to learn as a student.

What did you get out of the course? My Certificate 3 in Aviation (Remote Piloting) and the opportunity to obtain my RePL and AROC licence. To be determined if I pass, but my instructor (Alistair Sim) has full confidence.

How will or has it helped you in gaining employment or further education? I hope to use this course to go into the electrical industry and use it in the future to e.g. inspect power lines instead of helicopters, I would also like to use this course to gain my pilots licence.

Would you recommend this course to others? I would definitely recommend this course to other people as it helped unlock a passion within myself that I wasn’t aware of and a potential career in the future, this course is also just a great way to expand your knowledge on an industry that is growing extremely fast.

Through school I had the opportunity to do a Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) which I chose to do because of my passion for aviation and my goal of becoming a pilot. The course had a lot of content and required commitment, but as my passion is aviation it was really enjoyable. The instructor (Alistair Sim) was very helpful so if I was ever unsure on a topic, I could easily get extra help to have a better understanding of the content and also expand my knowledge on anything Aviation related.

By the end of year 10 I had received a Certificate III in Aviation and also completed my RePL (Remote Pilot Licence) and AROC (Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate).

I would definitely recommend this certificate through UAVAIR to anyone interested in aviation. Not only did I learn about drones, I learnt a lot about the Aviation industry and important skills such as having good situational awareness and study habits which will be very helpful in the coming years.
